Every Crate includes 7-10 fun items to lift the spirits of your senior. Tasty (and diet friendly) snacks and treats, a game to stay occupied and focused, a fun or helpful item to use, personalized pictures, a personalized note, and a Golden Memories card – which encourages seniors to write about stories from their past.
Our cofounder, Nicole, is a Doctor of Physical Therapy who specializes in senior citizen care. With years of experience helping the elderly, she knows exactly what items to put in our Crates to bring the most joy to your senior!
The Debut Box is an additional box available when you first sign up for an Annual subscription. It has 3-4 fun items and is designed to comfort your loved one right away.
Debut Boxes will ship out within a week of your order, regardless of the seasonal schedule. Upgrading to a Debut Box is a great way to get your senior citizen a box delivered as soon as possible!
Annual subscriptions will receive a FREE Debut Box after successful processing of your subscription order. That means you’ll get 5 boxes for your senior your first year as a subscriber!
Yes, they are different. The Debut Box and the Sunshine Box are designed to be a smaller, introductory welcome box sent within a week of your purchase.
The purpose of the Debut Box is to welcome your senior to Golden Comfort right away, and is a thank you for purchasing an Annual Subscription!
The purpose of the Sunshine Box is for you to see if a Golden Comfort subscription is right for you and your loved one.
The Debut and Sunshine Boxes contain 3-4 items for your senior citizen to enjoy, along with a letter explaining the our Golden Comfort service and what to expect moving forward. You will still have the opportunity to personalize your Debut Box or Sunshine Box with photos and a note, too!

Golden Memories cards are a fun and unique way to learn more about your elderly loved one’s past. Each Crate includes a Golden Memories card. Every season the question on the card will change, but it will be related to something about your senior’s past.
What was your wedding day like, what was your hometown like growing up, or what are you most proud of in life are a few example questions.
Not only is it a great way to learn about your grandma or grandpa, it’s also a great exercise for your senior to think about and relive these memories they have!
Yes! We include an envelope, stamp, and instructions with each Golden Memories card, so your loved one can send their answers back to you.
When captured in writing, this feature can be used as a conversation starter, as a way to feel more connected, and to pass down to future generations.
We offer two types of subscriptions, Annual and Seasonal.
If you sign your senior citizen up for an Annual subscription, you’ll pay $174.99 up front for 4 seasonal Crate deliveries in a calendar year – plus a FREE Debut Box (free US shipping is included).
You’ll save $25 total compared to a year of Seasonal subscription Crates. On top of that, your senior will also get their free Debut Box delivered right away!
If you sign your senior citizen up for a Seasonal subscription, you’ll pay $49.99 each season for one Crate delivery per season (free US shipping is included).
Subscriptions automatically renew unless you cancel prior to your upcoming bill date. If you choose a Seasonal subscription, you do not have the option to purchase a Debut Box at this time. Your senior will get their first Crate the following season after your order.
You can upgrade from a Seasonal subscription to an Annual subscription at any time! Send us an email to our customer support team (email@example.com) to upgrade your subscription plan.
When you upgrade from Seasonal to Annual, you will automatically be charged $174.99 which will cover 4 seasons worth of Crates. The free Debut Box is only available if you sign up for an Annual subscription initially.

Golden Comfort is a subscription box service designed specifically for senior citizens and the elderly. We offer a quarterly subscription box crafted to help senior citizens and their families stay connected.
If you would like to sign your senior citizen or elderly loved one up for a subscription, please select an Annual or Seasonal subscription. After signing up, you will have the option to upload pictures and a personal note to be printed and included in your senior’s Crate.
Every season your elderly loved one will get something fun and new to help stay connected to their family!
Yes! Golden Comfort is a subscription service, and we want you to be happy with your subscription. So, for those on the fence about subscribing, we offer a one time purchase that we call our Sunshine Box.
If you love your Sunshine Box (and we know you will), you may sign up for a Seasonal or Annual membership to get your senior citizen their Golden Comfort Crates delivered year round!.
Personalization is the option to add a personal touch to your senior citizen’s Crate!
All subscribers have the option to personalize each delivery by uploading photos and a personal note to be printed and included in each Crate.

To upload photos or a note, simply add a Golden Comfort Crate subscription to your shopping cart. When you are on the product page, click the “Personalize” button to answer a few questions about your senior and upload pictures and a note that you want included in the Crate.
Each season, we will send you an email 2-4 weeks before Crates are to be shipped. There will be a link in the email to our photo and note uploader, where you can share photos and write a note that you wish to be included in your delivery.
It’s quick and easy, and can be done using a computer, tablet, or phone!
No problem! When you personalize your Crate, we ask a few quick questions about your senior citizen. One of the questions is about dietary restrictions, where you can tell us what we need to be aware of.
Billing and Shipping Questions
Debut Boxes and Sunshine Boxes ship within one week of successfully signing up for an Annual subscription.
Members will receive one Crate per season, and there are 4 seasons per year. Crates will ship within the first 2 weeks of the month in:
● March (Spring Season)
● June (Summer Season)
● September (Fall Season)
● December (Winter Season)
Annual subscription bills will renew 1 year after your initial order. You must opt out prior to your billing date if you wish to cancel your subscription.
Seasonal subscription bills will renew on the 15th of the month prior to the new season month. For example, for the March Spring Season, you will be charged on February 15th. You must opt out prior to your billing date if you wish to cancel your subscription.
Shipping is FREE anywhere inside the continental United States!
For shipping to other parts of the US or internationally, please contact us at email@example.com prior to placing an order.
For Annual subscriptions, your Debut Box will ship within 1 week of your purchase, as will Sunshine Box orders.
All subsequent seasonal Crates will ship within the first 2 weeks of the seasonal month.
Seasonal subscribers will have their first Crate shipped with the next set of seasonal deliveries following your signup date.
Our Crates are generally shipped via USPS Priority Mail. Please allow 3-5 business days for shipping delivery.
Longer wait times can be expected during busy shipping times such as the holiday season.
Yes, absolutely! If your senior moves to a new address, or even just relocates to warmer weather in the winter months, we are happy to update our system with the new address.
Please contact us directly via email at firstname.lastname@example.org to alert us of any address changes.
Sales tax is currently only charged on orders being shipped to the state of North Dakota.
No - because we offer personalized Crates and Boxes, Golden Comfort does not accept returns..
